The Tondo, plus three Story Discs chosen to cover the three moments parents actually need: a bedtime story, a longer adventure for the car, and something with songs in it.

Safety
One moulded shell with nothing to unscrew, a sealed battery with no door, a volume ceiling built into the hardware, and discs far too wide to swallow.
Questions parents ask
Does it need an app, a phone or wifi?
None of the three. Every story lives on the disc, so the Tondo works in the car, on a plane and on the evening your router gives up. There is no app for the child and none for you either.
Is there a subscription?
No, and there will not be one. You buy the player once and buy discs when you want more stories. Nothing you have already paid for stops working if you stop buying.
How loud does it get?
Loud enough to fill a bedroom and no louder. The ceiling is built into the hardware rather than set in software, so there is no setting or trick that gets past it.
What happens if a child drops it?
It is designed to be dropped — a soft-touch shell, no glass, no exposed seams and nothing that pops off. If something does break, write to us: a fault is our problem, and we pay the postage both ways.
Can two children share one?
Yes. There are no profiles, accounts or settings to keep separate, because it is an object rather than a service. Siblings tend to end up with their own discs rather than their own players.
What if it isn't right for us?
Send it back within thirty days and we will refund it. We would rather have the player back than have it sitting unloved in a cupboard.
